Vaginal Rejuvenation Surgery in Beverly Hills, California (CA)
A vaginoplasty is a procedure that tightens and tones the vagina after its muscles have become loose or weak due to childbirth and/or aging. It may also improve sensitivity, allowing for women to achieve greater orgasms during sexual intercourse.
The vaginal muscles and its surrounding soft tissues are tightened by removing external tissues and strengthening the supportive structures of the vagina. With the reduction, and by toning the vaginal muscles, there is greater contraction and control. Reshaping and firming up the tissues also provides a more youthful appearance, so to speak. In essence, vaginal rejuvenation is like a face lift.
To complement the vaginoplasty, a labiaplasty is also performed. This further restores and enhances the appearance and function of the vagina because it reduces the size and changes the shape of the labia minora on the outside of the vagina.
Following the procedure, the patient is able to walk but not comfortably. Comfort will come in a few days’ time. As for when sexual intercourse can be resumed, expect four to six weeks to pass before you can engage. Risks include infection, scarring, and bleeding.
