S-lift Surgery

If there is such a thing as a mini facelift the S-Lift Surgery is it. This procedure is not as extensive as a full facelift which is exactly why it appeals to many people. The patient only requires local anesthesia and recovery time is quicker. The procedure requires an s-shaped incision be made near the ear and the skin is pulled tighter. The procedure improves the look of the skin over the cheek and in the jowl area. Like most surgical procedures though, there is always the possibility of complications. The complications include infection, fluid collection, skin that sloughs off, or a drooping smile or eyelid. The procedure should always be performed by a board certified doctor skilled in cosmetic surgery.

Fast Facts

  • Most S-Lift patients are between the ages of 30 and 60 years old
  • The S-Lift incision is ½ the length of a full facelift incision
